Then, you'll be ready to use Muse Tools regularly to answer your Unity questions and to generate your own assets. At the end of this project, you'll create a simple game prototype using Muse. Muse Texture: a generator of texture maps and materials for your 3D projects that will help you stylize your applications. Muse Sprite: a 2D asset generator that provides you with ready-to-use sprites without the need for searching or purchasing new assets. In this project, you'll learn about these Muse Tools: Muse Chat: a generative and conversational AI that can answer your Unity questions, generate code, and point you to the right resources. Animitor upgrade will replace umotion and dots unity physics/ havok physics will be a replacement for dynamic bones.Unity Muse enables creators of all skill levels to develop games and real-time 3D experiences lightning fast with simple text-based prompts. Also if you watch the keynote from unite Copenhagen, it seems like unity is creating built in versions of all these assets. For devs that have been using Unity for a while now there's nothing that's attractive. I don't know anyone who's already established their Pipeline and knows how to animate in Maya or 3DS that's going to give up that workflow to learn a new piece of software no matter how cheap it is.Īll in all this asset pack is perfect for somebody that's beginning in unity. If you have an existing pipeline for doing this work, you're not going to give it up. On Umotion and Dynamic Bones, the point Still Remains. But using accusatory tone when you disagree someone's point of view does make you an asshole. There are games that are written 100% code and there are plenty of games that are written using visual scripting doesn't make either method wrong. And no point of my statement did I say there was anything wrong with visual scripting I simply stated I don't like it. Or that I'm not allowed to say that I don't like visual scripting. So basically you're stating that I'm not allowed to voice my personal opinion. And you don't even seem to actually know what half of these tools are or what they do. You're just shitting all over every part of this, as if your workflow is the only suitable one out there. You wouldn't be doing that kind of bounce etc in your 3d modelling software.Īnd Umotion is literally about bringing the animation tools of things like Maya or 3ds INTO Unity so you can tweak and work with animations right inside Unity now. A bunch of the effects and card features in Hearthstone are built-in playmaker so the core devs can work on the game and the artists and other people can program their own stuff in Playmaker.Įlitist attitudes help no one and just make you sound like a douche.ĭynamic Bone adds in features that would be much tougher to build in by hand and would need to be done in unity. But a single playmaker 'node' could be many many lines of code at once. It's a tool for building code blocks visually. Visual scripting is a perfectly viable tool for many people who may not have the time or desire to script.Īnd playmaker isn't a visual scripting tool like Bolt or Unity's planned tool. I've only done a few lessons, so I can't comment on the lesson quality itself, but the website quality is 0/10.Īm anti Visual scripting only because it is misused in my opinionĬould you maybe try to not gatekeep how people want to work? I'll even click the icon for the next course after finishing this lesson and it'll say "you cannot go to this until you've completed the previous course" and I have to go back and select complete-this-course button when it should have effing done it automatically for me but didn't. Other video sites multi playlist work just fine for me, but not that one. There will be like some 30 second long video "okay you've learned this, let's move onto the next lesson" but at the end of the video it doesn't continue to the next one like it should. The video on the website also doesn't even continue for me. There's no skipping around.Ī totally pointless and idiotic design choice that doesn't belong in any video series website. The controls are very laggy and I have to manually click complete-this-course for every previous lesson a few times and wait for it to finally realize I want to see something else before I'm allowed to actually go to a different lesson, and then only allowed to go to n+1 rather than the lesson actually desired. No, I thought it would be udemy but the course is hosted on some other very badly programmed website called gamedevhq.
